SUMMARY:Christmas Bird Count for Kids
DESCRIPTION:The Lehigh Valley Audubon Society invites children ages 8-15 to participate in a program\, the Christmas Bird Count for Kids (CBC4Kids).  The event fee is $6.00 per child.  Registration is limited to 15 children\, so please don’t hesitate to RSVP.  Each child should be accompanied by a parent or guardian. \nThe program will include classroom sessions at Muhlenberg College in Allentown and a bird walk with birders from the Lehigh Valley Audubon Society.  Children will learn about the importance of citizen science\, practice using binoculars\, and gain experience spotting and identifying common breeding birds in Allentown parks.  Please register today!  A LVAS coordinator will contact each parent who registers a child and provide additional information. \nSunday\, January 17 has been set as a snow date for the CBC4Kids\, but only in the event of severe weather will the CBC4Kids be moved to the snow date.
