Join leaders from Pennsylvania’s outdoor recreation industry to help shape its future. Throughout March, we are hosting statewide sessions that will give you an opportunity to share ideas on the creation of a new, statewide industry alliance for outdoor recreation businesses.

The PA OREC Office is looking specifically for the following types of folks to attend:

• Outdoor recreation producers (design, manufacture, distribution, retail, and repair of outdoor goods).
• Providers of outdoor recreation experiences and related services and hospitality (outdoor recreation guides, restaurants and overnight lodging impacted by outdoor recreation).
• Professionals working to develop and serve the outdoor recreation industry (outdoor event/festival planners, content creators, trail engineers, and consultants).
• Supporters of outdoor recreation businesses, workforce, and economic development (local officials, chambers of commerce, local economic development organizations, etc.)

During these meetings, outdoor recreation leaders will provide an overview of the Elevate initiative — an effort to engage outdoor recreation businesses and their supporters to create a statewide outdoor business alliance. An outdoor business alliance will benefit outdoor recreation businesses by building the capacity of the sector, addressing barriers to growth, and advocating for outdoor recreation development.

Attendees will provide valuable input through interactive exercises on the priorities, actions, and structure that will best serve Pennsylvania’s outdoor recreation businesses.
