When Birds Become Poems

July 20, 2023 @ 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm EDT

FREE Virtual Program

In this FREE virtual program, celebrate Latino Conservation Week with multi-award-winning author, Soledad Caballero, a 2022 International Latino Book Award Gold Medalist and Best Poetry Book Award recipient. Caballero will discuss poetry and writing, and the inspiration birds offer. She will also discuss her book, I Was a Bell, which includes her poem “Someday I Will Visit Hawk Mountain” and other bird-inspired poems. At the same time, she’ll focus on how central memories of birds have always been in her life.

This FREE program is part of our Virtual Webinar Series, targeted towards adults and interested learners, but of course attendees of all ages and backgrounds are welcome!

A private link to the webinar will be emailed to all registrants about 1 hour before the start of the live program. A recording of the webinar will be posted and shared to all registrants following the event.

Registration closes 2 hours before the start of the program.

Hawk Mountain will be recording this webinar, including all questions, comments, etc., by the audience. By participating, you agree to allow the recording to be posted on Hawk Mountain’s website, Facebook page, Instagram feed, and other media.
