Bird The Ridge! Blue Mountain Parkway to Boyd Big Tree

Hike two-miles from Blue Mountain Parkway to Boyd Big Tree Conservation Area and back. Experience a narrow forested trail at the crest to see Cerulean Warblers that breed annually onsite as well as other forest-dwelling and ridge top species of warblers and songbirds. A brushy section at the turnaround may also offer Prarie Warblers, Field Sparrows, and other early successional specialists.
Location: Meet at Hocker Park (along Blue Mountain Parkway, Harrisburg 17112)

Wear sturdy, close-toed hiking shoes, preferably with ankle support; hike may include hiking on uneven or rocky surfaces. Dress for the weather, but long pants and layers are recommended.
