KTA Trail Love Event
Join new and old friends as we band together to raise up trails in the Kittatinny Ridge Conservation Landscape (KRCL) on National Trails Day! Show the trails you love some love! Learn a new skill and surprise yourself with unforeseen capabilities–there’s a job for everyone. There is a job for every skill level and ability. More details on trail work are outlined below. You can read about past events on the Trail Love website here.
Friday Night Camporee and Catered Dinner
Through a special arrangement with Dauphin County Parks and Recreation, we have the unique opportunity to camp at Detweiler Park Friday June 5th. Keystone Trails Association will be providing a free catered dinner to kick off the weekend. We’ll also have a campfire.
Saturday Trail Work
Meet at the Detweiler House (info below) for a free breakfast between 7:30-8:30am. We’ll check you in and give you your T-shirt. Following a short safety talk and introduction to our partners, we’ll head out on the trails (carpooling). Be sure to grab your bagged lunch on your way out.
KTA Gear Loaner Program
Need a few items for the weekend? Check out KTA’s Gear Loaner Program here. Reservations are first come first serve and must be made by June 3rd, 2026.
Who should attend this event?
Anyone who enjoys giving back to PA’s hiking trails through trail maintenance, as well as those with no trail work experience but are willing to give it a shot. We offer “on-the-trail” training! You do not need to be a member of KTA or any of our partner groups to join us. In fact, this is a great opportunity to see what we’re all about and make a few new friends.
